Far Cry Primal is probably more of the "survival" one. It has options for a hunger meter and stuff. Here's the thing, I love Primal, but I fully understand that it is not for everyone. Understand that there is a fair amount of gathering, traveling, and hunting that is a part of the gameplay loop. Pros: it's gorgeously stylized and immersive.

It's usually depending on your taste. Primal is as same as FC3 and FC4 (except it's a stone age style), FC5 is way different than the previous ones. Personally I love Primal and considering it as a best FC game, I enjoy stone age and the difficulty it offers you (Survivor mode + Permadeath). I hope the other Far Cry games aren't like this game. I've been playing Far Cry Primal on expert, survivor, permadeath for ages now. I've lost count of the amount of times I've died, and the number of hours (days) I've actually put into it. Primal is definitely one of the more experimental titles next to New Dawn, and yes the mechanics are the most unlike any other game in the franchise. I wish they would have done some more work on Primal and branded as to not associate with Far Cry, but they literally copied and pasted the map from Far Cry 4 so they would definitely get called

That's because this game is rediculously bugged. If you check different sites you'll see lists of folks with the same or similiar problems. You'd think that since you shelled out money for this product, they'd be a bit more concerned with so many people having issues..
